Firstly, this degree is taking its toll
And I've been thinking long and hard about Paper Stars as a shop. It was created when I was still experimenting with clay and jewellery, and I suppose back then I was a different person in terms of my artistic preferences. Now I feel the image I've given this shop doesn't really reflect who I am today, and it's almost like putting on an act; one that I couldn't quite keep up with if I wasn't feeling up to it.
So I'm on hiatus until I can make this shop something that really comes from the heart of the person I am today. It will take a while, and I am going to wait until the end of my degree, so this page will probably sink to the darkest corner of the internet, but that's ok. I want to revamp my shop, move away from having dA as its main base, and work on making things that I feel happy with, as well as my customers.
I had a blast when this incarnation of Paper Stars started, but I've grown apart from it. I may start again under a completely different name, I don't know. I like stars, and kitsch things, and I have a theme in mind that I want to execute with this name. But I do know that I want to keep this shop alive, because without it, I'll feel like there's something missing from me.
I'll be updating this page with news of what's going on, so I hope you guys will stick around!
See you in 2013
Nathalie
